The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for managing purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery by tracking orders, and maintaining accurate records in internal databases. This role involves communicating with vendors to resolve delays and discrepancies, providing regular updates to the Receiving Department, and preparing reports for various internal teams. The position also requires maintaining a well-organized log of all purchases and vendor files, handling miscellaneous supply orders, and supporting the Procurement Manager with special projects. Additionally, the Purchasing Coordinator will cover for the Procurement Manager during their absence.

This role involves answering phone calls promptly and assisting callers efficiently, handling various invoicing tasks for Accounts Payable and Receivable, and managing customer credits. Responsibilities also include mailing invoices, filing documents, making business banking deposits, and distributing mail. The ideal candidate will efficiently handle rush orders and sample requests, produce shipping materials, and ensure accurate tracking data. Additionally, they will manage check administration, mail checks to vendors, and maintain organized records. The candidate should have a high school diploma, possess a pleasant personality, be technologically proficient, and have the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities. This role reports to the Customer Service Manager.
